Scooch Bandmate — Install & FAQ

What’s in the box

  • 1× Scooch Bandmate elastic strap
  • Hook-and-loop (Velcro) fastener ends
  • Quick-start instructions

Installation Instructions

  1. Decide your route. Most users thread Bandmate through the camera opening (top) and a speaker/mic hole at the bottom of the case for the most comfortable angle.
  2. Feed one end of the strap in through the camera opening.
  3. Feed the other end out through a bottom opening (e.g., a speaker/mic hole). Choose whichever hole lines the strap up best for your hand.
  4. On the inside of the case, secure the two ends together with the hook-and-loop fastener.
  5. Snap your phone into the case. Slide a finger or your hand behind the strap and adjust tension by re-threading through different holes if needed.

Fit Tips

  • If your case layout differs, use any pair of openings (camera, speaker, lanyard, or vent holes) that give you a comfy grip.
  • For tighter fit, shorten the strap path inside the case before closing it.
  • Avoid fully sealed cases without pass-through holes; Bandmate needs openings to route the strap.

FAQ

Will Bandmate fit my case?
Bandmate works with most cases that have openings (camera, speaker, or lanyard holes). It’s not compatible with fully sealed cases that lack pass-through holes.
Does Bandmate affect wireless charging?
Bandmate contains no metal and sits between your hand and the outside of the case. Most chargers work normally. If your charger is very tight-clearance, rotate the strap route so it doesn’t bunch over the coil area.
Can I adjust the tightness?
Yes. Re-thread the strap through different openings to change length, or refasten the hook-and-loop for fine tuning.
How do I clean it?
Remove the strap and hand-wash in cool water with mild soap. Air-dry completely before reinstalling.
Will the elastic loosen over time?
A small amount of relaxation is normal. Re-thread or refasten to retension. If heavily worn, replacements are inexpensive.
